Stacey Rozich x Maddie Romansic

One of my best friends of many years (going on fifteen!) is an incredibly talented artist in illustration, textiles, sculpture and many many things. Last summer for my Pun(c)tuation solo show, I decided to branch from my 2D framed work into different mediums. Along with my MDF board cut-outs I thought about a soft sculpture. Who else to tackle this project, but miss crafty-hands herself: Maddie Romansic.

She took one of my figures and beautifully translated it into an almost FOUR FEET TALL (when standing) soft sculpture. He is so expertly crafted, he has movable joints and real sheeps wool (smells like it came right off the sheep) and lovely emroidered features. Not to mentioned a kicky little outfit complete with HAND-PRINTED scarf, tunic, black pants and super sweet booties that everyone wanted a pair of at the show.

Here I am with the little dude.

And NOW….

HE’S FOR SALE!

Seriously, I’ve never been so excited to announce the sale (except for my own work heh) of a piece of original work. This thing is truly amazing. It gets compliments where ever he’s seen, which, is starting to look like more and more places. Perhaps he’s taking a night out on the town without me?
